Friends of Kerr Layen Completes its Mission

It has been an incredible three years at Kerr Layen. From an initial brief to supply emergency food during the Pandemic, friends continued to support the village as they supported themselves toward a more stable future for all. From large ground crops to emergency food aid. From emergency building repairs and rebuilding homes to a 500 Cashew tree plantation. From a Deep Well and Solar Pump to outbuildings on the plantations to provided security and management. Finally a Ladies vegetable garden to be run by the village women as a small business. To progress, the trustees decided it was time to close Friends of Kerr Layen as it is and to coordinate with the village of Kerr Layen the route to take the project to the next level and to empower the village toward managing the project sustainably themselves. Kerr Layen village and Trustees of Friends of Kerr Layen would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support over the last three years.

The website will be reconfigured to showcase the project and its progress and then be redone when the next phase is planned and underway.
